1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing AreaCodeCentral.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. What you can do

• Look up any area code, city, county, or state for free.
• Use the reverse lookup, phone validator, and spam check tools for personal or commercial purposes.
• Link to our pages from your website, blog, or app.
• Embed our data in your own project, with attribution (see below).
• Quote brief excerpts (1–2 sentences) with a link back to the source page.

3. What you can't do

• Scrape our entire database programmatically without permission. If you want bulk data, ask us — we'll probably give you a CSV.
• Reproduce our content in full without attribution.
• Use our site to harass, stalk, or threaten anyone based on phone number lookups.
• Use our tools to facilitate fraud, telemarketing scams, or any illegal activity.
• Frame our pages in a way that hides the source URL.
• Register domains that impersonate AreaCodeCentral.

4. Attribution

If you use our data in a public-facing project (app, website, research paper), please credit us with a visible link to areacodecentral.com and mention the underlying data source (NANPA, US Census Bureau, Statistics Canada). Example attribution: "Area code data sourced from AreaCodeCentral.com (NANPA + 2022 ACS)."

5. No warranty

We do our best to keep the data accurate and current, but we make no warranty as to its completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Phone number assignments change daily, and even NANPA's public database has known lags of weeks to months. Use our data as a starting point — not as the basis for legal, financial, or emergency decisions.

6. Limitation of liability

AreaCodeCentral is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to: missed calls, wrong-number calls, scam losses, business decisions based on stale carrier info, or any indirect/consequential damages.

7. Third-party links

Our pages may link to external sites (NANPA, FCC, US Census, OpenStreetMap) for reference. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.

8. Reverse lookup limitations

Our reverse phone lookup tool returns area-code-level context (geographic origin, original carrier, time zone, spam-risk score). It does not return the name or address of the person who owns the number — that data isn't legally public in the US or Canada. We don't sell "people search" reports and never will.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where AreaCodeCentral is registered.
